What is Netiquette? Netiquette is a set of rules for behaving proper online or simply “Network Etiquette”. Netiquette is needed to minimize your mistakes and make friends. The best thing you will do is to follow the basic rules.

I am a responsible netizen  because I follow the rules of netiquette. Here are some general guidelines for cyberspace behavior. Rule no. one is to “Remember the human”. Be yourself even if  only the computer screen is front of you. Remember that you might offend people without meaning to.

Second is “Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life”. Standards of behavior in some areas are different however they are not lower than in real life. Don't believe anyone who says,"The only ethics out there are what you can get away it." Chances are good you'll find the answer.

Third is “Know where you are in cyberspace”. You must the areas to avoid waste of time that takes a look around. Spend a while listening to the chat or reading the archives. Get a sense of how the people who are all ready there act. Then go ahead and participate.

Fourth is “Respect other people's time and bandwith”. Avoid spending too much time sitting at the computer. Before you copy people on your messages, ask yourself where they need to know. If the answer is no, do not waste their time. If the answer is maybe, think twice before you hit send key.

The fifth one is “Make you good online. Don’t use languages that can be offend someone. Pay attention to the content of your writing. Be sure you know what you're talking about --when you see yourself writing "it's my understanding that" or "I believe it's case," ask yourself whether you really want to post this note before checking your facts.

From now on, I will obey more the core rules of netiquette for being a responsible netizen. So if I am you “ Be a Responsible Netizen”.
